How we got started

Clifton Park Estate Cleanout Pros didn't begin with a business plan. It began in 2017, with a neighbor on a cul-de-sac in Country Knolls who had just lost her father. He had lived in the same Clifton Park ranch since 1968. She had two weeks to get the house empty before closing, three siblings flying in from out of state, and a basement that hadn't been touched since the Carter administration. We helped her over a long weekend — sorting tools and tax records, hauling out furniture, driving carloads to Goodwill of Northeastern NY — and by Monday morning she said the same thing every family we work with eventually says: "I had no idea this was a thing you could pay someone to do."

It is. It should be. And in this part of Saratoga County it now is.

Why estate cleanouts, specifically

There are plenty of junk-removal trucks in the Capital District. Far fewer crews do whole-house estate cleanouts the way they actually need to be done — which is slowly, with the family in the room (literally or by phone), with a sorting plan instead of a dumpster-first approach. Estate cleanouts in Clifton Park aren't dumpster jobs. They involve probate timelines from Saratoga County Surrogate's Court, executors who are also grieving, Realtors with closing dates, and the very real chance that a stack of paper in the spare bedroom contains the deed, the will, or fifty years of family photographs.

That's why we built this around estate work first and built junk removal as a side service. Most of our crew got into this work the same way the company did — by helping family.

Training and how we work

Every member of our crew is trained in basic biohazard handling — bloodborne pathogens awareness, PPE, sharps protocols — because hoarder cleanouts in Saratoga County, while never the majority of our work, do come up. We're OSHA-aware on those jobs, we use appropriate respirators, and we coordinate with case managers and Adult Protective Services when needed. We're insured for general liability and workers' comp, and we're happy to send certificates to executors, Realtors, or HOA boards before we set foot on the property.

For ordinary estate cleanouts, the workflow is calmer: a free on-site walkthrough, a flat written estimate, a scheduled crew, and a written disposal log when we're done.

Our nonprofit partners

Roughly 40% of what comes out of an average Clifton Park home is still useful to somebody. We have standing relationships with Goodwill of Northeastern NY, Habitat for Humanity Capital District ReStore, Saratoga County Salvation Army, and Catholic Charities. We bring back signed donation receipts for the executor's records. Furniture, appliances, and building materials in good condition usually go to ReStore; clothing, housewares, and books go to Goodwill or Salvation Army; and we keep a short list of specialty partners for things like medical equipment, musical instruments, and craft supplies.

Our Promises

What every family we work with in Clifton Park and across Saratoga County can count on.

Flat written estimates

We walk the property, give you a firm number in writing, and that's the price. No surprise add-ons, no per-pound creep, no "we found extra" calls.

Donate first, dump last

Anything still useful goes to a local nonprofit before it goes near a landfill. You get the donation receipts; the community gets the goods.

🔒

Discreet and respectful

Unmarked trucks on request, no chatter on the lawn, and we treat keepsakes — letters, photos, jewelry — like we'd want our own family's handled.

📄

Clean paperwork

Disposal logs, donation receipts, and certificates of recycling for appliances. Clean records for the executor and for Surrogate's Court if needed.
